All New Season of FOX's 24

FOX's hit show 24 aired today, inviting many viewers to watch the season premiere. Although it is too early to determine justh how many television sets tuned in today, (the program just finished airing 9 minutes ago)I am pretty sure the ratings are high.

Anyways, I just wanted to talk about one specific event. Jack is handcuffed to a chair and the guards leave him. He fools a returing guard into believing that he is dead, and when the guard comes close enough, Jack bites into his neck and kills him.

First of all, is this even possible to do with your mouth? I know Jack Bauer is a tough guy and all, but biting through a major artery? I think not.
Other than that, I can't wait to watch the rest of the season.
